The Beginning – The Dreams and Goals Dreams come in many shapes and sizes and reality bites us right where it hurts. For years I have heard the “best of the best” motivational icons like Norman Vincent Peale, Robert Schuller, Zig Ziglar, and others proclaim – choose your outcome .. if you can imagine it, you can have it! Set your goals. .. If you work hard enough, you can achieve any goal possible! Try .. and Try Again ! Don’t give up your dream … keep on keeping on! But what always stuck with me – ‘ The Things Which Are Impossible With Men Are Possible With God’ Luke 18:27 . My “dream” was to build a full time business around the thing I loved doing the most – Whitetail Deer Hunting! .. I even asked myself many times … WWJD? .. if Jesus were here today, would he have made his deciples “hunters of men” .. instead of fishers of men? Jesus went fishing many times according to scripture - would He go hunting today? My brother and I used to deer hunt and always “poor boy it” .. maybe like a typical Jeff Foxworthy “redneck” .. we would drive the highways and back roads in the Golden South texas triangle and say things like - someday I’m gonna come down here and hunt - Now I do, every year! Was it easy? You tell me .. 40 years gone by .. three wives .. and seven children later – I still have this dream – called HuntSports which is a division of HuntUSA.org and part of The National Hunting Consortium.
The CONSORTIUM – HuntUSA.org , Our Dreams and Goals That too was part of the dream. To take and unite ( for a common cause and purpose ) those many different people I hunted with, hunted around, talked to or met – get all these to come together with a common cause and purpose. Where did I ever get such silly notions? The likes of corporate hunting leases like those of Litton Industries in the late 70’s ? How about Jerry Johnston and his Texas Trophy Hunters Association? Go back to the early 70’s and talk to some guys around a junkyard in San Antonio, Texas and listen to them talk about a dream to bring together the most serious whitetail deer hunters in the area. .. learn from them and their friends .. share stories and talk about what it takes to improve the whitetail deer habitat. With that dream, and with the thought that if Johnston could do it – I could do it too! In fact, it’s pretty hard to really imagine the influence of the Texas Trophy Hunters Association and it’s accomplishments in the whitetail hunting world. Now comes The National Hunting Consortium and our dreams and goals:

HuntSports.com People say to BigDaddy - So you want to become the World's Foremost Outfitter of Whitetail Hunting Gear, and he responds – not on your life! No big retail stores, gigantic overhead and expenses galore! Not to mention high prices. Nope, BigDaddy says ‘Figuring out better ways to lower expenses and get better deals to the average deer hunter is challenging enough for me’ .. We all dream of the good life and things we will do with our children and grandchildren. What will we leave behind? What is your legacy? Our ability to imagine something becomes the seed of inspiration – our personal “Life Food Plot” if you will. Success needs more than imagination to bear fruit… as my ex used to say – ‘ if wishes were horses .. beggars would ride’ In actuality though, it is simple, but too few have ears to hear, or eyes to “see” .. remember this whenever you plat your food plots – imagine someone speaking out around the campfire at the deer lease – and I paraphrase - A hunter went out to plant a food plot and when he went to sow his seed. And as he was scattering the seed with his ATV seeder / spreader … some shot out and fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some flung out wide as he made his turns and fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed flew out among thorns, which grew up and choked the food plot plants. Still other seed fell on good soil, soil that was prepared and fertilized - where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. He who has ears, let him hear." It’s not as hard as you might think .. to live a life of abundance and fulfillment … as long as your target and the scope of your imaginations are focused where they should be. OK, but what about hard work? Remember -- 1 Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. " Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good" Our not so … “secret ingredient” is attitude! The attitude we have toward our work is the first step up the ladder to our deer stand - Believe me, there's a big difference between involvement and commitment. Next time you sit down to a ham and egg breakfast, you might have some doubt as to the chicken’s involvement - there's no question the pig's committed! Even after putting in many hours, many days, many weeks and many years - you can't wait to get to the next step! You're not "involved" with your work. You are absolutely, passionately committed to it! - work a few hours every day on your dream, that's when the magic begins! The yearning for personal freedom, self expression – and a prayer and belief in God – that’s what BigDaddy says - creates miracles! I invite you to join us and drink deeply from the never-ending wellspring of Gods loving kindness. Taste and savor the real elixir of true and lasting value - more than any other! It will nourish and sustain you in untold ways - and provide the true foundation for Success. – "If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink" John 7:37 HuntSports Online Store offering members and shoppers alike, the best equipment brands available in automatic deer wildlife feeders, game fish feeders, parts and accessories for every major brand of feeder for the Do-It-Yourselfer too! BigDaddy’s “Bottom Line” Philosophy What good do we do ? "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt has become tasteless, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled under foot by men. If I speak with human eloquence and angelic ecstasy but don't love, I'm nothing but the creaking of a rusty gate. 2 If I speak God's Word with power, revealing all his mysteries and making everything plain as day, and if I have faith that says to a mountain, "Jump," and it jumps, but I don't love, I'm nothing. 3-7 If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don't love, I've gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I'm bankrupt without love. So , BigDaddy paraphrases some of the parallels to deer hunters – this way:
